Operation and flow rates for silicate / mixed-bet resin filters per hour (recommended):For water with very low conductivity, it is recommended to use a mixed-bed resin filter. The performance of the upstream osmosis system and the associated flow volume is decisive for the required size.
Mixed-bed resins should be flowed through at a flow rate of approx. 8 - 40 BV/h (bed volume per hour).
This would be passed through with a filter with about 4 liters of mixed bed resin filling, an amount of about 36 - 160 liters per hour.
(2 litres volume = 18 - 80 l/h /// 18 litres volume = 160 - 700 l/h )
At higher water throughput, the residual materials that the osmosis system allows through are filtered out correspondingly poorly. We recommend the use of mixed-bed resins with indicator, i.e. the indication when this is used up / should be replaced.
The mixed-bed filter is ideally suited for the use of resins.
Mixed-bed resins on request. If you have any questions, please send an email to
